I was the head of product for one of the dozens of companies using AI in an attempt to make the talent acquisition side of the job search ecosystem better for employers. What has happened is that the job search experience for job seekers has become untenable as humans have been taken out of the process in ways that have been catastrophic.
While working in the talent technology space I advocated for bringing to market a product that would help job seekers in similar ways that we are helping employers. But there’s a problem; job seekers generally aren’t a good customer for various reasons so nobody is really making anything to help you out. Using my experience with AI and ATS screening I made a Google Sheet for a friend that was in the middle of their job search and was having issues getting interviews.
Like many job seekers, they just wanted their resumé to be seen by a human.
They have AI, now you have AI. So let’s get people back into the hiring process.

Do I need an OpenAI account to use the Google Sheet?
Yes. So I can keep this free you’ll need to use your own API. Sign up for a free OpenAI Account then create and copy an API key from this page: https://platform.openai.com/api-keys then paste it into the field in the spreadsheet. You’ll need to pre-load your account with some funds to make it work. $10 is a good start and will allow you to apply to dozens of jobs.

Isn’t AI generated content detectable by Applicant Tracking Systems?
I’m not seeing AI detection being used by any ATS to eliminate AI generated resumés. To safeguard against that this tool is segmented to each bullet point so that it doesn’t reference content that the AI has written anywhere else in your resumé. It also important that you proof read the output and apply edits as you see fit.
